Terms of service
Last updated: 23 July 2026 English is the store’s base language. The French version is the legally authoritative version and prevails in the event of any discrepancy.
1. Purpose and definitions
These general terms and conditions of sale (“GTC”) govern the use of the website lessismore.co (the “Site”) and any order placed on the Site, which offers for sale powder-to-liquid personal care products (shampoos, shower gels, hand soaps), refillable bottles, wall mounts, gift sets and gift cards (the “Products”).
The Products are sold via the Site by Minimalist Labs SAS, a French simplified joint-stock company with a share capital of €30,400, registered office at 39 rue du Sentier, 75002 Paris, registered with the Paris RCS under no. B 901 204 271 (SIREN 901 204 271), VAT FR16901204271 (“Minimalist Labs”, the “Seller”, “we”).
Any order implies prior acceptance of these GTC, by ticking a checkbox during the ordering process. The applicable GTC are those in force on the date of the order.

- “Customer” or “you”: any natural person purchasing the Products sold on the Site. The Customer must be an end consumer (a natural person not acting in a commercial capacity), over eighteen (18) years of age, based in France or within the European Union, and having the legal capacity to contract.

2. Products
The Products offered for sale are those displayed on the Site, subject to available stock. Each Product is presented with its essential characteristics (capacity, use, composition). Photographs illustrate the Products as accurately as possible; minor variations in appearance that do not affect the essential characteristics do not engage the Seller’s liability.
Some Products are concentrates to be diluted before use. Instructions for use appear on the packaging and the Site and must be followed. Our formulas are suitable for the whole family from age 3; they are not recommended for babies or pregnant women due to the presence of natural essential oils.

4. Order
4.1. Ordering process
An Order is placed as follows: (1) adding Products to the basket; (2) checking and confirming the basket contents; (3) entering delivery and billing information (with or without creating a customer account); (4) express acceptance of these GTC; (5) secure payment. The sale is concluded upon payment confirmation. An Order confirmation summarising the Products, price and delivery address is sent by email.
Orders are archived on a reliable and durable medium in accordance with article L.213-1 of the French Consumer Code; the Customer may access them on request to hello@lessismore.co.
4.2. Accuracy of the information provided
The Customer undertakes to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information when ordering, and to update it as necessary. Minimalist Labs cannot be held liable for the consequences of inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the Customer, in particular an incorrect delivery or email address.
4.3. Availability of Products
If, despite Minimalist Labs’ diligence, the ordered Products are no longer available, Minimalist Labs will inform the Customer by any means (telephone or email) as soon as possible. No amount corresponding to the unavailable Product(s) will be debited. If payment has already been made, the Customer will be refunded the portion of the payment corresponding to the unavailable Product(s), in accordance with section 8 below.
4.4. Cancellation of the Order by the Customer
As long as the Order has not been shipped, the Customer may request its cancellation by writing to hello@lessismore.co. Minimalist Labs endeavours to act on any request received before the parcel is prepared. After shipment, the Customer may exercise their right of withdrawal under the conditions of section 8.
4.5. Refusal or cancellation of the Order by Minimalist Labs
Minimalist Labs reserves the right to refuse or cancel an Order in the event of an existing dispute with the Customer, payment default or refusal, legitimate suspicion of fraud, or where the quantities ordered indicate resale activity. Minimalist Labs endeavours to inform the Customer by email.
5. Payment
Payment is made online at the time of the Order by bank card (Visa, Mastercard, CB, American Express), PayPal, Apple Pay, Shop Pay or any other payment method offered on the payment page.
Transactions are secured by the payment provider of the Shopify platform, via SSL/TLS encryption. The Customer’s banking details are transmitted directly to the relevant payment provider; Minimalist Labs has no access to them and does not store them.
Payment is deemed validated after confirmation of the payment authorisation by the issuing organisation. In the event of refusal by the bank, the Order will be automatically refused and Minimalist Labs will thereby be released from any obligation and liability towards the Customer.
The Customer may download their invoice from their personal account under “My orders”. Where the Customer has not created a customer account, their invoice is available as an attachment to the shipping confirmation email sent by Minimalist Labs.
The Products remain the property of Minimalist Labs until full payment of the price, including principal, costs and taxes.
6. Delivery
6.1. Delivery methods and times
The Products are delivered to the address given at the time of the Order, in the following areas: France, Belgium, Switzerland, the rest of the European Union and the United Kingdom. A Customer whose country is not listed may contact us at hello@lessismore.co to arrange a delivery.
Any Order placed before 8am on a working day is prepared the same day. Indicative delivery times, excluding preparation time: 2 to 3 working days in France; 3 to 5 working days in Switzerland and the rest of the European Union; 4 to 5 working days in the United Kingdom. The Customer is informed by email when the parcel is handed to the carrier, with the tracking number.
Unless a different time is indicated, delivery takes place no later than thirty (30) days after the Order, in accordance with article L.216-1 of the French Consumer Code.
6.2. Receipt of Products and transfer of risk
The risk of loss or damage to the Products passes to the Customer when the Customer, or a third party designated by them, takes physical possession of them (article L.216-4 of the French Consumer Code).
On receipt, the Customer is invited to check the condition of the parcel and the conformity of the delivery. In the event of a damaged parcel, a missing Product or a Product not matching the Order, the Customer is invited to note reservations with the carrier and to contact Minimalist Labs at hello@lessismore.co as soon as possible, attaching photographs where possible. The absence of reservations does not deprive the Customer of any of their rights, in particular under the legal guarantees (section 10).
6.3. Late delivery
If the announced time is exceeded, the Customer may require Minimalist Labs to deliver within a reasonable additional period. If delivery does not take place within that new period, the Customer may cancel the Order by registered letter or by writing on another durable medium. Sums paid are then refunded no later than fourteen (14) days after cancellation.
6.4. Return of Products
The return and refund terms are described in sections 8 (right of withdrawal), 9 (money-back guarantee) and 10 (legal guarantees).
7. Subscription
7.1. Purpose and sign-up
The Site offers a subscription programme to automatically receive refills at the interval chosen by the Customer (every 1, 2 or 3 months). To subscribe, the Customer selects the “subscription” option on the product page, chooses the desired delivery frequency and confirms the Order per section 4. Sign-up requires creating a customer account and registering a payment method. Each shipment must include at least two (2) refills.
7.2. Price and billing
The subscription gives a 15% discount on the current public price of the Products concerned, plus free Delivery costs on each shipment. There is no sign-up fee and no flat subscription fee: the Customer pays only for the Products received. Each shipment is charged at the time of dispatch, at the price in force on the renewal date, to the registered payment method. The Customer is informed by email before each renewal.
7.3. Modification, suspension and cancellation
The subscription has no fixed term. The Customer may at any time, from their customer account, change the Products or frequency, skip a delivery, pause or cancel the subscription, free of charge and without justification. Cancellation is available online through a direct and permanent feature, in accordance with articles L.215-1-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. It takes immediate effect for shipments not yet prepared.
The right of withdrawal (section 8) and the money-back guarantee (section 9) apply to each delivery made under the subscription.
8. Right of withdrawal
8.1. Period and scope
In accordance with articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the Customer has a period of fourteen (14) days from receipt of the Products, by themselves or a designated third party, to withdraw without giving any reason. This right applies to unsealed Products, including when purchased at a promotional or sale price.
8.2. Exception for unsealed Products
In accordance with article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for Products that have been unsealed by the Customer after delivery and that cannot be returned for reasons of hygiene or health protection.
For health and hygiene reasons, sealed cosmetic Products are therefore not subject to the right of withdrawal if they have been unsealed by the Customer.
An unsealed, tested or used Product may be covered by the “money-back” commercial guarantee (see section 9), which is distinct from the right of withdrawal: it lasts thirty (30) days from receipt of the Order, requires the Product to have been tested, and entitles the Customer to a refund of the Product without returning it.
8.3. Exercising the right of withdrawal
To exercise their right of withdrawal, the Customer notifies their decision before the deadline, by an unambiguous statement:
- via the online withdrawal function, permanently accessible from the “Withdraw from contract” link in the footer of the Site, which opens the withdrawal form available at https://lessismore.co/pages/eu-withdrawal-form, in accordance with articles L.221-21 and D.221-5 of the French Consumer Code;
- or by email to hello@lessismore.co, where appropriate using the model form reproduced in the appendix.
Minimalist Labs acknowledges receipt of the request without delay on a durable medium and provides return instructions.
8.4. Return of Products
Products must be returned without undue delay and no later than fourteen (14) days after notification of withdrawal, complete and in their original packaging. Return costs are borne by the Customer.
Minimalist Labs will not issue a refund if the Products returned by the Customer do not match the ordered Product(s) or do not come from the Site.
8.5. Refund
Minimalist Labs refunds all sums paid, including the initial Delivery costs (at the cheapest standard rate offered), no later than fourteen (14) days from notification of withdrawal. The refund may be deferred until the Products are recovered or the Customer has provided proof of shipment. It is made to the payment method used for the Order, at no cost to the Customer.
In the event of a partial return of an Order that benefited from a conditional offer (threshold discount, free Delivery costs, gift), the discount is recalculated on the Products kept and any gift must be returned.
9. “Money-back” commercial guarantee
Independently of the right of withdrawal and the legal guarantees, Minimalist Labs offers a “money-back” commercial guarantee (the “Guarantee”) lasting thirty (30) days from receipt of the Order, covering Products purchased on the Site that have been unsealed, tested or used by the Customer.
This Guarantee entitles the Customer to a refund of the price of the Product (excluding Delivery costs), without returning the Product, upon presentation of the invoice and proof that the Product was opened.
The full conditions and terms of the Guarantee, including its usage limits, are set out on the Money-back Guarantee page, which forms an integral part of these GTC.
The Guarantee is a commercial guarantee freely granted by Minimalist Labs. It applies without prejudice to the right of withdrawal (section 8) and the legal guarantees (section 10), which the Customer retains in full.
10. Legal guarantees
10.1. Conformity and hidden defects
All Products benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L.217-3 to L.217-32 of the French Consumer Code) and the legal guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code).
The following box is the official information box required by Annex A of article D.211-2 of the French Consumer Code. In accordance with French law, the French wording of this box (reproduced in the French version of these GTC) is the authoritative version. The following is an unofficial English translation provided for information only.
The consumer has a period of two years from delivery of the goods to obtain the implementation of the legal guarantee of conformity in the event of a lack of conformity. During this period, the consumer is only required to establish the existence of the lack of conformity and not the date of its appearance.
Where the sales contract provides for the continuous supply of digital content or a digital service for a period exceeding two years, the legal guarantee applies to that digital content or service throughout the supply period provided. During this period, the consumer is only required to establish the existence of the lack of conformity affecting the digital content or service, and not the date of its appearance.
The legal guarantee of conformity requires the professional, where applicable, to provide all updates necessary to maintain the conformity of the goods.
The legal guarantee of conformity gives the consumer the right to repair or replacement of the goods within thirty days of their request, at no cost and without major inconvenience to them.
If the goods are repaired under the legal guarantee of conformity, the consumer benefits from a six-month extension of the initial guarantee.
If the consumer requests repair but the seller imposes replacement, the legal guarantee of conformity is renewed for a period of two years from the date the goods are replaced.
The consumer may obtain a reduction in the purchase price by keeping the goods, or terminate the contract and obtain a full refund against return of the goods, if: (1) the professional refuses to repair or replace the goods; (2) repair or replacement occurs after a period of thirty days; (3) repair or replacement causes major inconvenience to the consumer, in particular where the consumer definitively bears the costs of taking back or removing the non-conforming goods, or bears the costs of installing the repaired or replacement goods; (4) the non-conformity of the goods persists despite the seller’s unsuccessful attempt to bring them into conformity.
The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or to termination of the contract where the lack of conformity is so serious that it justifies immediate price reduction or termination. The consumer is not then required to first request repair or replacement of the goods.
The consumer is not entitled to termination of the sale if the lack of conformity is minor.
Any period during which the goods are unavailable for repair or replacement suspends the remaining guarantee period until the repaired goods are delivered.
The rights mentioned above result from the application of articles L. 217-1 to L. 217-32 of the French Consumer Code.
A seller that obstructs in bad faith the implementation of the legal guarantee of conformity incurs a civil fine of up to €300,000, which may be increased to 10% of average annual turnover (article L. 241-5 of the French Consumer Code).
The consumer also benefits from the legal guarantee against hidden defects under articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code, for two years from discovery of the defect. This guarantee entitles the consumer to a price reduction if the goods are kept, or to a full refund against return of the goods.
To invoke a legal guarantee, the Customer may contact us at hello@lessismore.co with their order number and a description of the defect. Return costs for a non-conforming or defective Product are borne by Minimalist Labs. The refund, replacement or repair is provided at no cost to the Customer.
10.2. Exclusions
Minimalist Labs will not be bound by the obligations described in section 10.1 in the following cases:
- the Product does not come from the Site;
- the damage or defect results from a cause external to the Product (accident, poor storage, exposure to abnormal temperature or humidity conditions, force majeure);
- the damage or defect results from the Customer’s fault, in particular use not in accordance with the instructions on the packaging and the Site, incorrect dilution, mixing with another product or modification of the Product;
- the Product was used beyond its date of minimum durability or its period-after-opening.
These exclusions do not apply where the defect results from a failure by Minimalist Labs, and do not affect the mandatory legal provisions protecting consumers.
11. Liability
Minimalist Labs is liable as of right for the proper performance of the distance contract, in accordance with article L.221-15 of the French Consumer Code. It cannot, however, be held liable for non-performance attributable to the Customer, to the unforeseeable and insurmountable act of a third party unconnected with the contract, or to force majeure.
Minimalist Labs cannot be held liable for damage resulting from the fraudulent intrusion of a third party that has led to a modification of the information made available on the Site.
Nothing in these GTC limits the rights the Customer holds under mandatory legal provisions.
12. Use of the Site
The Site is in principle accessible at all times, except for maintenance operations. Minimalist Labs does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. It is prohibited to use the Site for unlawful purposes, to introduce malicious content, or to interfere with its security features. User-generated content (reviews, comments) contrary to the law or third-party rights may be removed.
13. Intellectual property
All elements of the Site (trademarks, texts, photographs, illustrations, logos) are protected and remain the exclusive property of Minimalist Labs or its licensors. Any use, reproduction, representation or exploitation, in whole or in part, without the prior written authorisation of Minimalist Labs is prohibited.
14. Personal data
Minimalist Labs invites the Customer to consult the Privacy & Cookies Policy for more information on how Minimalist Labs processes personal data and on the Customer’s related rights.
15. Complaints and consumer mediation
Any complaint may be sent to customer service: hello@lessismore.co. We endeavour to respond within five (5) working days.
In accordance with articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, after first submitting a written complaint to customer service that has not been resolved, the Customer may have free recourse to the consumer mediator to which Minimalist Labs belongs:
CMAP — Consumer Mediation Centre de Médiation et d’Arbitrage de Paris 39 avenue Franklin D. Roosevelt, 75008 Paris, France www.cmap.fr — online case submission, “Nous saisir” section
The Customer remains free to accept or refuse mediation and, if it fails, to bring the matter before the competent court.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These GTC are governed by French law, without prejudice to more protective mandatory provisions of the consumer’s country of habitual residence within the European Union.
In the event of a dispute, the Customer may bring proceedings, at their choice, before one of the territorially competent courts under the French Code of Civil Procedure, or before the court of the place where they resided when the contract was concluded or the harmful event occurred (article R.631-3 of the French Consumer Code).
17. Changes to the GTC
Minimalist Labs may amend these GTC at any time. The GTC applicable to an Order are those accepted on the day of that Order. The date of the last update appears at the top of this document.
